Operating-company IPOs on US exchanges, read from each final prospectus. Excludes SPAC IPOs, direct listings, uplistings, closed-end funds and Reg A offerings. "Raised" is gross proceeds at the IPO price before the over-allotment option. Above and below range count only deals whose filings set a price range.
The median across all deals is pulled down by micro-cap IPOs, which is why the median for deals over $25 million is shown alongside it; most published IPO statistics leave micro-caps out. Micro-cap IPOs (under $10 million raised) made up much of the count in 2023–2025. Nasdaq has since tightened its listing standards for small offerings, including a $25 million minimum for companies based mainly in China that the SEC approved in 2026, so recent years have fewer but larger deals.
